We continue to work diligently on the insurance claims regarding the fire that claimed our Highway Garage on January 1st.  We are hoping to complete these claims by the end of this week.  Yesterday we received 2 checks from our insurance company for the 2 plow trucks lost in the fire.  We previously ordered 2 new international plow/sander trucks.  We are hoping they will be in around March 1st.  We are grateful to the surrounding towns/Clinton County for the continued use of their equipment in order to keep our roads safe.  We are working on the new building figures and determinations on this capital project are forthcoming.  We are deciding on how much money we should borrow in order to complete this project this year.  My #1 priority is keeping a close eye on the town's finances and keeping you, the taxpayers, well informed.

We will keep you updated on the status of our settled insurance claims.  Our next monthly board meeting is on the 24th of this month in Lyon Mountain.  I encourage the public to attend as your input is most important.
